#  Sarah Richardson's Next Book To Appear in October 2021

 Harvard WGS professor [Sarah Richardson](/people/sarah-richardson)'s next book, *[The Maternal Imprint: The Contested Science of Maternal-Fetal Effects](https://press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/book/chicago/M/bo117202096.html?fbclid=IwAR2DdWeIA9ytux07hrv4R9OcK4Mgym9Fgfsc5pTLsThKnQcali03_Z4z0pI)*, will be released by University of Chicago Press in October 2021. Richardson's new monograph charts the untold history of the idea that a woman’s health and behavior during pregnancy can have long-term effects on her descendants’ health and welfare.
