Graduate students enrolled in the WGS/American Studies proseminar will present their research on how to utilize both traditional and non-traditional archives to demonstrate the complex interrelations of gender, sexuality, race, class, language, and nationality in the production of “American identity.” The students – Imani Davis, Hazim Hardeman, Karen Kramer, Eloy Ramirez, Alejandra Rosa, Andrew Suarez, and Anthony Trujillo – have produced cutting-edge presentations using archival material available to them at Harvard and elsewhere. Their presentations are smart, sometimes profound, and always electric with insight.
