The [Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality ](https://www.gcws.mit.edu/)(GCWS) is a pioneering effort by faculty at degree-granting institutions in the Boston area to advance women's studies scholarship.

Each year the GCWS offers a number of courses open to matriculated graduate students at any of the member institutions. These courses are interdisciplinary and are team-taught by faculty from different institutions and in different fields.
