 *The Harvard Gazette* has published an interview with Professor [Caroline Light](/people/caroline-light), ["Difference between the Rittenhouse and MicMichael-Bryan vedicts?"](https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2021/12/difference-between-rittenhouse-and-mcmichael-bryan-verdicts/). In it, Professor Light discusses the outcomes of each trial, and how these verdicts will impact "Stand Your Ground" laws and other gun violence cases.

 Caroline Light is the author *of Stand Your Ground: A History of America’s Love Affair with Lethal Self-Defense* (Beacon Press, 2017).
