#  Invisible History Wins Publishing Triangle Award

 *Invisible History: The Collected Poems of Walta Borawski* won the [Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry](https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/newsbrief/index.html?record=4189) for the [Publishing Triangle Award in Poetry](https://publishingtriangle.org/2023/04/finalists-2023-triangle-awards/). This is the second time that Micheal Bronski has won this prestigious award. Michael was nominated as a finalist for this presitigious award three times - The first was for *Pleasure Principle: Sex, Backlash and the Struggle for Gay Freedom* in 1998 and for [A Queer History of the United States](https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/216629/a-queer-history-of-the-united-states-by-michael-bronski/) in 2013 which won. In 2017 Michael was awarded [the Bill Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement](/news/michael-bronski-receives-bill-whitehead-lifetime-achievement-award#:~:text=Michael%20Bronski,%20Professor%20of%20the,Whitehead%20Award%20for%20Lifetime%20Achievement).
