#  Marya Mtshali Quoted in National Journal and USA Today

 WGS professor [Marya Mtshali ](/people/marya-mtshali)was recently quoted in articles by *National Journal* and *USA Today* on racial bias in healthcare and how to ensure equal access to COVID vaccines when they’re available. Mtshali also recently published the article *[How medical bias against black people is shaping Covid-19 treatment and care](https://www.vox.com/2020/6/2/21277987/coronavirus-in-black-people-covid-19-testing-treatment-medical-racism)* in Vox online and her course, WOMGEN 1274 Gender, Race, and Poverty in the United States was mentioned by students in the blog "[Gold Star Teaching Moves](https://spark.adobe.com/page/7vMle0KpqrqiE/)" as an example of distance learning at its best.
