#  New Book on Transnational LGBT Activism by WGS Alum

University of Minnesota Press has released *[*Transnational LGBT Activism: Working for Sexual Rights Worldwide*](http://www.upress.umn.edu/book-division/books/transnational-lgbt-activism)*, the first book by WGS alum Ryan Thoreson '07.After receiving a joint degree in WGS and government at Harvard, Ryan was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford where he earned MPhil and DPhil degrees in anthropology. In 2014, he received a JD from Yale Law School.
