 Professor [Caroline Light](/people/caroline-light) has published a conversation with epidemiologist Dr. Celine Grounder in her blog, [In the Crosshairs](https://hphr.org/columnist-dr-caroline-light/). In [this post](https://hphr.org/blog-light-4/), Dr. Gounder shares her thoughts on epidemiology’s contributions to gun violence resistance.

 Dr. Grounder is the host and producer of Podcasts " [American Diagnosis](https://www.justhumanproductions.org/podcasts/american-diagnosis)" and "[Epidemic](https://www.justhumanproductions.org/podcasts/epidemic)," that address urgent public health issues, including gun violence, from intersectional perspectives. She also serves as a member of the Biden-Harris Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board.

 Caroline Light is the author *of Stand Your Ground: A History of America’s Love Affair with Lethal Self-Defense* (Beacon Press, 2017).
