 

#  Robin Bernstein Receives NEH Grant

 Professor Robin Bernstein has received a Public Scholar Fellowship from the [National Endowment for the Humanities](https://www.neh.gov/news/neh-announces-284-million-239-humanities-projects-nationwide). The NEH's Public Scholars program supports "the creation of well-researched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public." She will use the year-long fellowship to support the writing of her book, *The Trials of William Freeman: A Story of Murder, Race, and America's First Industrial Prison*.
