#  Meredith Reiches's Essay Appears in L.A. Review of Books

 WGS affiliate and UMASS Boston Professor [Meredith Reiches](/people/meredith-reiches) has published her essay, [The Uterus and the Will to Power](https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/the-uterus-and-the-will-to-power/) in the *Los Angeles Review of Books*. Her essay discusses the issues of surveillance in reproductive health and the political, medical, and interpersonal vulnerabilities that come with having a uterus, which have now only been heightened with the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
