Gay Community News at 50: GCN's Impact & Legacy

WGS Professor Michael Bronski will moderate a panel discussion titled "Gay Community News at 50:  GCN's Impact & Legacy" at the Massachusetts Historical Society on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6:00-7:00pm. 

When Gay Community News officially ceased publication in the 1990s, it was the oldest, continuously published national gay news

paper. This panel will explore the impact GCN had and continues to have on LGBTQ+ writing, news coverage, and activism.  The free hybrid event is part of a series co-sponsored by The History Project.  For more information and to register visit the Massachusetts Historical Society's website.
