 Photo of Caroline LightJoin us for a conversation with Steve Dettelbach, Director of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Bureau on the state of gun violence in America, and the steps that can be taken to address this ongoing crisis. Director Dettlebach was appointed by President Biden in 2022, and leads the federal agency charged with enforcing laws and regulations related to firearms, explosives, arson, and alcohol and tobacco trafficking. Moderating this discussion will be Professor Caroline Light. Professor Light is the author of Stand Your Ground: A History of America's Love Affair with Lethal Self Defense (Beacon Press, 2017).
