Robin Bernstein Wins Herbert H. Lehman Award for Distinguished Scholarship

Professor Robin Bernstein has won the Herbert H. Lehman Award for Distinguished Scholarship, given by the New York Academy of History, for her book Freeman's Challenge: The Murder That Shook America's Original Prison for Profit (University of Chicago Press). The Lehman Award "honors outstanding contributions to New York State and City history." She will receive the award in a gala at the Cosmopolitan Club in New York City in September.
