Professors Jardine and Mitra Awarded Cabot Fellowships

WGS Professors Alice Jardine and Durba Mitra were awarded Walter Channing Cabot Fellowships, given annually to select Harvard faculty "in recognition of their achievements and scholarly eminence in the fields of literature, history or art."

photo of Alice JardineAlice Jardine is Professor of Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality and Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. Her most recent book, At the Risk of Thinking: An Intellectual Biography of Julia Kristevawas selected as a finalist in the Association of American Publishers (AAP) 45th annual Professional and Scholarly Excellence (PROSE) Awards competition in the Biography & Autobiography category.

Durba MitraDurba Mitra is Assistant Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, the Carol K. Pforzheimer Assistant Professor at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University, and the author of Indian Sex Life: Sexuality and the Colonial Origins of Modern Social Thought (Princeton University Press, 2020), which received honorable mention for the J. Willard Hurst Book Prize from the Law & Society Association.
