Each year the FAS honors two junior faculty members with Roslyn Abramson Awards for "their ability to communicate with and inspire undergraduates, their accessibility, and their dedication to teaching." This year, WGS Professor Durba Mitra has received the award and we congratulate her for the well-deserved recognition!

The Harvard Gazette, which recently profiled Mitra and co-winner Ya-Chieh Hsu of the Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Department, reported that Mitra will be using the $10,000 prize to support research on her next book, which explores Third World feminist political thought during the second half of the 20th century.
