An article by WGS Professor Sarah Richardson and her collaborators in the GenderSci Lab, has appeared in the leading scientific journal Nature

The article,  "A finding of sex similarities rather than differences in COVID-19 Outcomes, dismantles a widely publicized claim asserting the “immune landscape in patients with COVID-19 is considerably different between the sexes." In addition to the article itself, two blog posts by the GenderSci Lab break down their findings refuting this claim:

The GenderSci Lab works to counter bias and hype in sex difference research and to enhance public discourse surrounding the sciences of sex and gender. Sarah Richardson is the author of Sex Itself: The Search for Male and Female in the Human Genome (2013) and The Maternal Imprint: The Contested Science of Maternal-Fetal Effects, which will be published by the University of Chicago Press in November 2021.

Please join us in congratulating Professor Richardson and her colleagues on this publication!
