Richard Reinhold Niebuhr Professor of Divinity and WGS Standing Committee member Mark D. Jordan has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Along with eleven other Harvard faculty elected to the Academy this year, Jordan joins a list of members that includes Benjamin Franklin (elected 1781), Alexander Hamilton (1791), Maria Mitchell (1848), Charles Darwin (1874), Albert Einstein (1924), Margaret Mead (1948), Martin Luther King Jr. (1966), Judy Woodruff (2012), and former President Barack Obama (2018).
We offer congratualtions to Professor Jordan on this great achievement.
