Cover for Manning Up: Transsexual Men on Finding Brotherhood, Family & Themselves
After receiving a WGS degree at Harvard, Kellaway became a freelance writer specializing in transgender topics. In 2014, he joined The Advocate's news site as its trans news correspondent and Transgress Press, an Oakland-based trans-focused indie publisher, as its assistant managing editor.

Kellaway is now helping to produce Love, Always: Partners of Trans People on Intimacy, Challenge & Resilience, edited by Jordon Johnson and Becky Garrison and published by Transgress Press, which is the first ever anthology of writing by the spouses and partners of transgender folks.
