New Essay from Caroline Light’s Blog

Professor Caroline Light has published a new essay on her HPHR blog, In The Crosshairs. The essay, Maddesyn George, Intimate Violence, and the Limits of Armed Self-Defense, was co-authored by Light and Harvard sophomore Amy Ojeaburu.” The essay is part of a series discussing "legal cases in which women or transgender people used guns to defend themselves against their abusers and [deciphering] the different ways in which states adjudicate self-defense cases involving domestic or intimate partner violence."

Caroline Light is the author of Stand Your Ground: A History of America’s Love Affair with Lethal Self-Defense (Beacon Press, 2017). Her blog, In the Crosshairs, appears on the website of the School of Public Health's HPHR Journal.
