WGS Faculty and Affiliates Recognized Among the University's Best Teachers

June 5, 2019

Each year the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences honors two junior faculty members with Abramson Awards for "their ability to communicate with and inspire undergraduates, their accessibility, and their dedication to teaching." WGS faculty and affiliates have been well represented among recent Abramson Award winners, receiving awards in four of the past five years. Professor Sarah Richardson received the award in 2015. Standing Committee members Lorgia García Peña and Elizabeth Hinton were award-winners in 2017 and 2018 respectively. And most recently, Durba Mitra won the award in 2019.

We're proud to have Abramson Award-winners teaching WGS courses and are delighted to offer students the opportunity to study with such inspiring faculty.
