WGS Alums Edit Special Issue of Feminist Journal

WGS graduates Jennifer Nash and Emily Owens have guest-edited the winter 2015 issue of Feminist Formations, a special issue on "Institutional Feelings: Practicing Women’s Studies in the Corporate University." 

Jennifer Nash received her A.B. in Women's Studies in 2001 and worked as a Teaching Fellow (TF) in WGS while completing her Ph.D. in African American Studies at Harvard. She is currently Assistant Professor of American Studies at George Washington University. Emily Owens received her A.B. in WGS in 2008 and received a Ph.D. in African American Studies with a graduate secondary field in WGS in 2015. She has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of History at Brown University.

Contributors to the issue include three other students with WGS affiliations: Amber Musser (former WGS TF, Ph.D. in History of Science, currently Assistant Professor, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis), Lucia Hulsether (former WGS TF, currently Ph.D. student in Religious Studies at Yale) and Sandy Placido (Ph.D. candidate in American Studies, currently pursuing a graduate secondary field in WGS).
