WGS concentrator L.G. Fadiman received an honorable mention from the 2022 Undergraduate Essay Prize from Science, Technology, and Society (STS) at the Kennedy School for their essay, "5G Conspiracy Theories and Biopolitics in the Vernacular." The committee recognized this essay for "astutely examining claims about 5G technology that get labelled as conspiracy theories in order to show how 'Folklore regarding 5G appears to be situated within and refer outwards toward more generalized popular concerns about government applications of the force of biopower, the complexities of which are rendered through—or, perhaps, perceived as—conspiracy theorization.'"

Please join WGS in congratulating L.G. on this acheivement!
