WGS Professor Pens Op-Ed on CDC’s Pregnancy Guidelines

Professor Sarah Richardson (WGS/History of Science) has co-authored a Boston Globe op-ed criticizing the CDC’s new bulletin advising women of reproductive age to abstain from alcohol.

In the piece Professor Richardson and her co-author, Rene Almeling (Yale, Sociology), argue that “the CDC’s overly broad advisory damages its credibility as a source of clear, balanced advice about health risks.”
