Gender and Climate Change: An Intersectional Approach from Latin America and the Caribbean

WGS Chair Jocelyn Viterna, will give the opening remarks at Gender and Climate Change: An Intersectional Approach from Latin America and the Caribbean at Harvard's David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS).

This event will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 4:30PM to 7:30PM, and aims to create a space for Jocelyn Viternaan overview of the intersection between climate change and gender—emphasizing the need for a nuanced understanding of its impacts in Latin America & the Caribbean—and to share efforts on how addressing gender disparities can enhance climate resilience, mitigation, and adaptation efforts.
