Robin Bernstein Receives NEH Grant

Professor Robin Bernstein has received a Public Scholar Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The NEH's Public Scholars program supports "the creation of well-researched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public." She will use the year-long fellowship to support the writing of her book, The Trials of William Freeman: A Story of Murder, Race, and America's First Industrial Prison.
